Do you have any information to add? Do you have any old photos you would like to share? Any ideas for the site? Requesting permission to use photos on this site?

Email me at dumpystripmallsblog at gmail dot com.

I’m also open to “guest” posts from anyone who would like to contribute to this blog, especially if you wanted to write about a mall/retail establishment outside the Twin Cities Metro area. I am also open to posts about Western Wisconsin (Hudson, River Falls, that sort of thing).

While I’d like to visit every retail center in Minnesota myself, it’s just not possible.  You won’t get paid (I do this for fun, mind you!), but I would give you full credit/link to your blog or whatever you wish. Original photos taken by you (current, older or both) of the establishment are required for any contributions. In other words, you can’t write up a post and search Flickr for some photos.

Please contact me if you are interested.

If you want to support this site, I’d appreciate it if you would “Like” the Dumpy Strip Malls Facebook page. Not only does this spread the word about the site, you’ll see the updates to the site pop up on your feed! Plus, it’s a great way to interact with me and other fans.
Sorry guys, but I don’t use Twitter. Maybe someday I’ll jump on that bandwagon – but hey, I appreciate any tweets you want to give me! :)

Let’s get some more Bloomington love going on here! Plenty of dumpiness to be found there. Great Bear Center on Lyndale? The iconic flashing bear sign? Ohhh yes.

Great Bear Center – slightly dumpy but still plenty busy.

Have you ever thought about doing a post about the death of the drive-in theater? They were as plentiful as strip malls in their heyday, but now I heard there are 6 left in the state.

If you want to see a real dumpy strip mall, check out the Northland Mall in the south end of Forest Lake on highway 61. I think there’s an Anytime Fitness and a dance studio that’s left.
