So it appears the Joe’s in Roseville has re-opened. I have not ate there – but it was totally a hopping joint when I visited the nearby Olive Garden this last weekend. Lights on, cars in the parking lot, it is like it never left or something.

This place has now hiring signs posted. Looks like you will get another shot at “forced fun” dining very soon. I would sooner go across the street to Khan’s any day.

Did some maintenances there. As for most kitchens “ya don wanna kno”. Take the worst of Spring break in Mexico and have it in your face in Minnesota. Too obviously over the top and wanting the big dollars for not much to hollar about.

I am a fan of Red Lobster and hoped that Joe’s would provide competition. It didn’t. I ate at Joe’s once in Roseville. They destroyed every single item that I ordered except the beer. The shrimp scampi was some concoction that Joe must have dreamed up when he was hallucinating. I actually felt sorry that the shrimp had to die for this. The demise of Joe’s in Roseville was a good thing.

Yeah, the food there was average at best. Tough to get decent seafood here unless you go high buck. The new Broadway Pizza in the space is very nice and worth a visit. Best Garlic Cheese Bread around! Lunch buffet is so-so. Nice alternatives to regular pizza sauce are offered too.

My wife and I went to the MG one one time when our first child was like 3 months old and couldn’t offer up commentary on where she wanted to go. Service was ok, as you said though – very loud and they didn’t like that we wouldn’t leave our 3 month old at the table and conga line with them! Food wasn’t anything special and spousal unit and I decided that for the money RL was as good, quieter and more “Family” oriented.

There was a Joe’s Crab Shack on the Galveston, Texas bay…which was a shame, because I heard it was once a local restaurant. After Ike slammed the island, with many homes now gone, the restaurant reopened a few months later while the local stores are still struggling to reopen.
